The rally, starting at 7:30 am from the Saradambal temple, was a vibrant display of educational skits performed by students. These skits focused on Over-The-Counter (OTC) products and antibiotic awareness, effectively communicating these crucial messages to the public. Placards carried by students displayed informative themes from past years, courtesy of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, further enhancing public understanding of the pharmacist’s role.
Additionally, informative pamphlets were distributed to the public. These contained valuable health information, including normal human body values, pharmacist job opportunities, and precautions for medication intake.
A significant feature of the rally was the health camp, where various health parameters like blood sugar levels, BMI, and blood pressure were checked free of cost. This camp, situated at two spots along the rally route and led by Mr. Raghupathy Raja, benefitted over 250 members of the public. Immediate results were provided and recorded in Health Cards for attendees.
