The Career Guidance Program organized by Sree Abirami Institutions aimed to enlighten para-medical students about diverse career opportunities and postgraduate programs available internationally. The event featured Mr. Sony Akkara, an internationally certified career coach and Executive Director of Easy Link Academy, Thrissur, Kerala. With his extensive expertise in career counseling, Mr. Akkara provided invaluable insights and guidance to students aiming to expand their career horizons globally.

Program Objectives:

– To help participants understand their personality traits, skills, and interests.

– To inform students about various international career options and pathways for para-medical graduates.

– To assist in setting realistic career goals and understanding international postgraduate programs.

– To equip students with skills necessary for effective job searching and interview preparation.

The event commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, performed by fourth-year B. Pharm students, followed by a warm welcome address by the Academic Dean, Dr. Jeyabharathi, and Dr. S. Jeevanandham, Principal of Sree Abirami College of Pharmacy. They introduced Mr. Sony Akkara, who engaged the audience with his motivational guidance for pursuing international opportunities.

Throughout the program, Mr. Akkara emphasized the importance of self-awareness and detailed various career pathways and postgraduate programs in countries like Ireland, Albania, and Germany. His sessions were highly interactive, offering students a clear perspective on global opportunities.

The event was broadcast live on YouTube, extending its reach to numerous other colleges. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. P. Srinivasan, HOD of the Department of Pharmacology. The program was a resounding success, with over 150 final-year students from Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Nursing actively participating and gaining significant insights into their future career prospects.
